We Believe

We believe that prayer is the foundation of a peaceful and secure community.

We believe that by coming together and praying for all levels government, in conjunction with many other regional prayer breakfasts throughout North America, we can see lasting impact.

The Aurora Prayer Breakfast Committee is an extension of local churches in Aurora.

We are distinctively Christian in nature, and welcome all people of any faith or belief to attend.

We believe that “Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Him” (John 14:6).

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16).

Our Purpose

The purpose of the Aurora Prayer Breakfast is to affirm the strong Christian roots and heritage of our Town of Aurora, and to be a voice in this community, that says we hold true to our heritage and Christian faith today. Further, we demonstrate that the Christian Faith is real, valid, and that our community is stronger and better because of the faith of its residents, regardless of age and ethnicity.

The Aurora Prayer Breakfast Committee supports, endorses, and arranges for, regular Prayer Gatherings in our community. These are held at various Christian churches in our town several times a year, and people are given an opportunity to worship our Lord, give thanks, and pray together. We pray for God’s guidance for our politicians and for political decisions at all levels of government. We pray for all in authority in our town, our region, and our country, such as elected officials, teachers, Police, Fire departments, EMO and other first responders.

Our purpose includes an emphasis on the youth of our community. We arrange Sponsorships so that out of a current maximum of 500 seats available, we are able to invite approximately 140 students to attend the Annual Prayer Breakfast at no charge to them.

We gather with Business and Community Leaders, Pastors and Church Leaders at least once a year to encourage a strengthening of our commitment to Christ and each other. We support and initiate Christ-centered endeavors to bring churches and believers together to share the Good News.
